There are two types of religion: relative and real.
Relative religion is the workings of the mind, speech, the body and all other religions of the non-self. Chanting prayers is the religion of speech. Meditation is the religion of the mind. Bathing, performing your religious rituals etc. are the religion of the body.
Everything remains within the parameter of its own religion. The mind remains in the religion of the mind, the intellect remains within its own religion, the inner vision remains in it’s own religion, the ego remains in the religion of the ego, the ears remain in the religion of the ears. Ears do the work of listening; they are not involved in the action of seeing. The eyes perform the action of seeing and not listening. The nose is involved in the action of smelling, the tongue plays its role by tasting and the tactile sense is involved in the feeling of touch. Every sense is always involved in the function of its own subject matter.
When the mind is involved in its religion, the mind may have good thoughts or bad thoughts but regardless, it is in its own religion. But when thoughts are good, the relative self claims, ‘my thoughts are good’; because of the prevailing illusion, the relative self becomes one with the thoughts. When thoughts are negative, he remains separate from the thoughts saying, ‘I have these terrible thoughts even when I do not want them’. The religion of each component of the mind, the intellect, inner vision and ego is separate. The function of the mind is separate, the function of the inner vision is separate, the function of the intellect is separate and the function of the ego is also separate. But the relative self interferes in their functioning and creates a mess! To become one with the thoughts, that verily is an illusion. When does the relative-self cease to become engrossed? When a fully self-realised person bestows the knowledge of the real self upon you, then you cease to become one with everything that takes place within and without. Once you become the Soul, you become impartial. Then there will be no support for the mind, inner vision, intellect, the ego and the body. You become one with them because of a false projection of ‘I am the body’. Once you become the soul, once you realize your true identity, the real you remains separate as the knower and the seer.
Everyone in the world is practicing relative religion. They are engaged in the religion of the mind, speech and body. They believe the religion of the mind to be their own religion. True religion is one where there is the knowledge that all religions besides the religion of the soul are relative religions. The religion of the soul is verily your own religion; the religion of the real self. That is known as religion of the soul and that itself is liberation; all other religions are relative religion - not of the self.
‘Dada Bhagwan’ within you is the absolute supreme soul. Here, with the fully self-realised person there is no religion; here you have to get your work done. How long will you go on sitting in religious schools? All you have to do is get your work done, by that I mean you have to acquire the knowledge of your real identity from the fully self-realised person. The fully self-realised person’s lamp is lit, all you have to do is touch the wick of your lamp to his, and your lamp too will be lit. Very rarely, only once in a while is there a presence of a fully self-realised person on the earth. A fully self-realised person of the stepless path to self-realisation comes about once every million years, but when that happens, it is possible for you to realize your soul within just one hour! And that is why I am telling you ‘get your work done’. This body is like a bubble, there is no telling when it will burst. Sitting within is Dada Bhagwan, he is the supreme Lord, his presence is so magnificent and powerful, and as long as this ‘bubble’ remains, people will achieve salvation. The lord does not have speech, neither does he have hands or feet and that is why he has surrendered to me and made me instrumental in the salvation of this world. And that is why I am saying, as long as this bubble remains intact, get your work done.
Here, with me, the soul is the only religion there is. Here there is only the path that is free of all contradictions. Elsewhere in the world there is practice of relative religions. To make a false projection of being what you are not, to live as the body; to walk the path where good deeds are advocated and bad ones denounced; to maintain an obliging nature towards everyone all your life; all this falls in the domain of the relative religion. And here, if you practice the real religion, if you realize the soul even just for a fraction of a second; there is liberation. The Lord has said that if you were to say you are the soul even just once after becoming the soul, then your will be work done, but otherwise even if you keep repeating ‘I am the soul, and the body and all its association are not mine’, for a million life times, you will still not gain anything. What does the Lord say? He says, ‘You believe you are body. This has also become your faith. Your faith is not broken. That belief or knowledge is not broken and neither is your conduct and yet if you say, ‘I am pure soul’, then you will never achieve liberation. How can you say you are the pure soul when all the while you remain in the false belief of being the body? How can you say you are the pure soul when, when you speak, you speak as the body? When the false projection of your knowledge and vision are broken and you are placed in the right belief and knowledge, only then is liberation possible.
