Questioner : If there is suffering in the fruition of our karmic debt and we worship Ambaji, Padmavati Mataji can she remove that suffering?

Dadashri : No, but because of her presence and her grace, you will experience peace and your path will become easier. The path of the prakruti becomes natural through her grace. This is the body, it is a prakruti ; it is in the form of energy. And Mataji is in the form of energy. It is manifestation of energy. Therefore, if it is focused then that energy is within you. The reason that they have been given a form is because people are not aware that the energy is within them.

Questioner : Has She manifested?

Dadashri : Whatever energies are within, have been placed on the outside. There is Sarasvati within. Whatever I say is considered Sarasvati.

It is like this. There have been such women that have become goddesses and they are present currently. What is a ‘Devi' ? Today those who follow Tirthankars and Gnanis are considered Devis . They have energies, which you receive by worshipping them. This is analogous to being an acquaintance with a government official who uses his influence to get your work done. This is all like that. Even now, there are Devis present within you.

Questioner : Energies manifest within the body. Is it true that Ambaji, Padmavati, Bhadrakalimata, and Kalka manifests within them?

Dadashri : It may not be true but it is not wrong either, is it? Devis' energies are spread out according to how much faith one has in them and people function through those energies. When one becomes tanmayakar (absorbed in that particular energy) and all the rest of the worldly desires are gone, at that time one is considered mataji . That is when people say that Mataji has come from over there (from Devloka). That is a different thing altogether. Whether she came from over there or from over here, it is the energy that has come. ‘Devi' means energy ( shakti ). If she were to come from above, then what would be left up there? Therefore, that energy is within the person. When the energy suddenly increases, that is what surfaces. When that happens he may fall and hurt himself.

In whom does mataji manifest? In those who become one in their nature. When one's mind, body, and speech become unified, still, and focused, then it can be considered that mataji has come in that person. Adhyashakti (original Spiritual energy) is considered to have arisen. Such energy arises when all one's desires go away.

You incur karmic fault when you have faith in someone and then say negative things about him. There is no problem for those who do not have faith. Bow down properly to everyone as a good worldly gesture.

Questioner : Is there any importance in the shakti (energy)? Is it proper that people have given importance to shakti during the Navratri (the special nine days devoted to celebrating the goddess Ambika)?

Dadashri : Energy itself is a Devi and the fact that one is alive is itself energy. When you continue worshipping Devi of energy, your prakruti will remain good. The effect of prakruti will be all over you. Is it not better to do garba here than to fight at home. This happiness is free, whereas you have to pay for other types of happiness. Those who have taken Gnan do not need to go to all these places but others do, do they not? Those looking for external happiness need all this.

Questioner : They need the support.

Dadashri : Those who have taken our Gnan feel satisfied and they are not curious to see what goes on there. But what about those who have not taken Gnan ? But they are not at fault because they will always look for external happiness.

When you worship mataji in the form of energy, in the form of Devi, or Ambika mataji, Kalika mataji, Durga matagi , this prakruti will remain good. This is all to purify the prakruti . Should you not keep prakruti good even if you have realized the Self? Therefore, you have to worship mataji .

Questioner : So the prakruti does work like the ‘mother' would, does it not?

Dadashri : Yes. That is why when one worships the ‘mother', as ‘mataji' , the prakruti becomes pure and gives the poor man happiness and stops all the misery. That is why I tell everyone to do mataji's darshan . You may not have acquired the Self but your prakruti's suffering will at least go away.

Questioner : But the goddess mother is removing one's miseries anyway. Even if one does not have extra special bhaav , is the goddess mother not removing his miseries? According to our science, prakruti is helping him anyway; it is removing…

Dadashri : But that is a nimit , is it not? Worship of the Prakruti occurs when there is nimit . It helps him. We know that it is mataji who is helping him but that is if he worships her. What do people say about Sarasvati ? Do you know who her devotees and worshipper are? They are all the poets and the bards. They worship Sarasvati . What happens by worshipping Sarasvati ? When these poets speak, they speak in a very profound manner. That is worshipping the prakruti . It is worshipping the Sarasvati of the poets. That Saraswati is the same as the Sarasvati here. If the same Devi is placed on the outside, then your worship of her is indirect but it will give fruits to the one within; it will reach there and give rewards.

Questioner ; Now, you are putting that in a simple language of, one will receive whatever he asks for. One has to have faith.

Dadashri : That is why even I worship. I worship Ambamata, Sarasvati, and others, and mataji has accepted it. No Jain will accept mataji . Prakruti can never be fruitful. And you will have to become vitraag everywhere. Do you know whether this belief of Mataji is true or not? Now, that is people's belief and they are atma just like us, are they not? You cannot go to moksha by violating anyone's beliefs.
