Questioner: What is a jyoti linga?

Dadashri: The Soul is in a form of a light (jyoti), it does not have a physical form. It is neither masculine nor feminine. When they talk about jyoti linga, it is on a very gross level, beyond this level, a hundreds and thousands of miles beyond this level, lies the subtle form of jyoti linga and even beyond that is the subtlest jyoti linga form, which is the Atma itself.

The light of the soul is not the same as all the different forms of light that you see. The gnan (knowledge), darshan (vision), charitra (conduct of knowing and seeing), and sookh (bliss) that has manifested, that is jyoti, it is not this divo (lamp).
