Questioner: In building this temple, suppose the work is going slow or fast, certain things work out, certain ones do not, but in doing all that work, we forget about our awareness of the pure soul (the upyog of shuddhatma ).
Dadashri: If you miss out on your awareness in doing that work, then it is something great. After all, what is your goal? You want to bring Simandhar Swami here.
Questioner: Yes, but our focus goes into the work that is not being accomplished; we forget Simandhar Swami and get bogged down in the fact that the Mandir is not coming along.
Dadashri: No, but that is only for the temple is it not?
Questioner: Yes for the temple.
Dadashri: You have taken your upyog for the temple; that is the way it is in our Gnan . If you give money for the temple, it is just like Gnan , because it is for Simandhar Swami. It is greater than giving out books for charity. Yes, it is an entirely different matter to be doing things for Simandhar Swami. You cannot put a value to it. You have idols of the twenty-four Tirthankars , but they are all gone and this is a current living Tirthankar . From the very beginning, we have not had the tradition of building idols or temples of the living Tirthankars . However when Lord Parashnath was alive in our country, they did build his temple.
