People of many different sects say to me, "Why are you building a derasar of Simandhar Swami, give that project over to us and we will build it according to your specifications." I told them that we would have to adopt their customs and rules, which are shushka (that which does not produce spiritual results), and rigid. They do not even let me go in to do darshan of Simandhar Swami! They stop even a Gnani Purush (the one who is the purest of all; the one who is constantly pure). They do not even let the one who is not an owner of his own body, into their derasar . And here just look how lovingly people give money to build this derasar ! Otherwise, building a derasar is not an easy thing to do. The Jains offered to give money towards this project, but then they would enforce their own rules there.

Questioner: Yes, they would enforce their own rules.

Dadashri: To our place, even the Vaishnavs will come; everyone will come. The Jains however, would not let them in because of their rules. They will not let you in even to worship. They tell the Vaishnavs to dress a certain way before going inside. They will put rules in the derasar , will they not? So everyone (our mahatmas ) said not to take money from the Jains.
