True relationship with the Atma

Questioner
: What is the ritual of brahma-sambandha (to join with one's own soul)?

Dadashri : Brahma-sambandha occurs when one's interest in the soul arises and one feels a strong attraction or love for the soul. True brahma - sambandha is to understand your real self. When one does not forget the real Self, it is considered brahma-sambandha . Then you will have no worries. You will have a constant awareness of your pure Self after I give you Gnan and that means that you have acquired true brahma-sambandha . Otherwise, the kanthi (wearing the string of beads) is very limited. Today there is no true brahma-sambandha in any religious path. When a (guru) himself does not have a steady state of brahma-sambandha , how is he going to help others acquire it?

Until one acquires the state and the experience of ‘I am the Supreme Soul', he goes around claiming, “I am Vaishnava,” or “I am a Jain.” And the Vaishnavs will behold Krishna in their hearts, but until he acquires the main experience, it is all imagination. The main thing is one's own real Self (the Soul) and to acquire that, is brahma-sambandha . The Gnani Purush removes your devotion from all the worldly things, puts it in the Soul, and makes you brahmanishtha (devoted to the Supreme Soul). In this, the Self and the non-self have to be separated through their attributes. The two had come together for countless past lives because of illusion. The Gnani Purush destroys your demerit karmas and that is why you can maintain awareness of the Self, how would you otherwise?

Lord Krishna is Vasudeva Narayan . He has stayed back for the salvation of others. He wants to bless many people so he is going to spend one more birth before he leaves for Moksha . Lord Rama did not have such a desire. All Rama wanted, was to go to moksha . Lord Krishna had made a strong desire to be worshipped by the whole world. He is going to help many achieve their salvation and then he will go. Therefore, he is going to be a Tirthankar in the coming cycle. Lord Krishna, Devki, and Balddeva are all going to be tirthankars . In addition, Ravan too is going to be a tirthankar . This has all been decided, including their names. It has also been decided in what sequence they will be known as Tirthankar .
