Simandhar Swami is present. His idol means it is "His representative". How long do you have to do darshan of His idol ( murti )? You have to do so until you attain the state of amoorta (Pure-Self; the soul; Self-Realization). You need the support of the idol until you acquire the state of the formless. Did God say to let go of the idol after that? No, you should not let go of the idol because others too will let go.
So you should go do darshan for the sake of it. That is the way of the world. Even I go, twice or three times a year, so that people in the residential division and the streets will know that Dada goes there. You should always be open to social duty.
Questioner: For the current generation of people and for the devout, this idol is paroksh (indirect), so they would worship it, would they not?
Dadashri: No, this idol is not paroksh .
Questioner: But would it not become paroksh for the future generations?
Dadashri: Not only for them. First, this is for us. What is there for us? Simandhar Swami is currently present for us and He is still going to be present for another 125,000 years for us. His picture etc. will work for us. Therefore, our mahatmas should simply continue to do darshan there. You have to sit in front of it. Would your work not get done as long as the collector is sitting there in front of you?
Questioner: Yes, it would.
Dadashri: If someone government official does not do your work and if you were to continue doing his pratikraman at home, then your work will get done. If you recall his image, because you have seen him, you know what he looks like so you do not need a photograph of the collector. Here (with Simandhar Swami) a photograph is needed and for the future generation (because no one has seen the Lord with their eyes); it is for the salvation of the whole world. A collection of these temples is to get rid of the prejudices; all their differences will go away and it will reward people.
The idol of Simandhar Swami Bhagwan who resides in Mahavideh Kshetra is to be kept here. It should be of the one who is living. How much of a reward will it give you!
Therefore, such a temple of Simandhar Swami is being built here. I will tell you the reason behind it.
People were meant to spend their life for the purpose of attaining the soul ( atmaartha ) , but instead they fell into opinions and religious sects. One person will claim that his beliefs are right and another will say his beliefs are right. When did atmaartha turn into mataartha (for the purpose of opinions)? Therefore, this temple of Simandhar Swami is being built to get rid of the differences. With it will come the temple of Krishna Vasudeva . Completely separate from that, on the one side will come the temple of Shiva . This is the tool to get rid of opinions. Our opinions will be broken with this darshan.
Lord Krishna Vasudev is a narayan (God). He is accepted by the Tirthankars . And Lord Shiva has been accepted as a Gnani . He who becomes a Gnani is considered a Shiva. So they are all accepted.
When you see all the three idols (together), you will feel their grandeur. You derive tremendous benefits when you do darshan of the idols of those who are present.
